We would really appreciate your time if you would consider undertaking the three surveys shown below, and/or sharing them with people in your community and through your personal networks. The surveys are as follows:
Technology enabled care survey
Gloucestershire County Council would like to know more about what people in our county think of Technology Enabled Care. In Gloucestershire this is currently known as the Telecare Service. Technology Enabled Care (TEC) is when technology is used to help monitor and manage individuals at risk to live longer, healthier and more independent lifestyles. This could be a falls detector, a way of asking for help (such as a pendant) or a device that reminds someone to take their medication.
You may use Telecare equipment, or you may care for someone that uses it. You may have had experience of it in the past or are thinking that it could be useful for you in the future. Whoever you are, the county council would like to ask your views about the best way to support you with this short survey.
This will be live until 5 pm on Friday 28 July 2023.
The county council is also holding two face to face feedback sessions:
- Tuesday 25 July, from 09:30 to 12:30 at Gloucester Library, 1st Floor, 51 Brunswick Road, Gloucester, GL1 1HT
- Tuesday 25 July, from 13:30 to 16:30 at 2nd Floor, Childrens Library, Chester Walk, Clarence Street, Cheltenham, GL50 3JT
Anyone attending will be supported to complete the same questions as outlined in the online survey.
Living well / ageing well frailty survey
We want to understand what is important to people living in Gloucestershire as they age. What helps (or would help) people to remain independent, and what stops people from keeping well and living independently? Please complete our survey at www.smartsurvey.co.uk/LivingwellAgeingwell2023
Minor adaptations survey
Minor adaptations are small works or aids such as grab rails, ceiling track hoists and modular ramping which can help you to remain independent and safe in your home for as long as possible. Minor adaptations is a statutory service that local authorities must deliver under the Care Act 2014. The current contract is coming to an end in August 2024, and we want to commission a new service that supports the changing needs of individuals within Gloucestershire. The results of this survey will inform the suggestions taken to decision makers.
